When Nigerian chef Chef Dammy recently attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking session, her supporters, friends, and students hailed her as a hero.
When it was revealed that Damilola Adeparusi, commonly known as Chef Dammy, had been cooking for almost 120 hours, she rose to renown.
She did not, however, formally register her effort with GWR, and as a result, the record was not accepted.
Undaunted, Chef Dammy has declared her intent to do a 150-hour cooking marathon.
This decision follows Hilda Baci’s designation by GWR as the new holder of the record for the longest cooking session.
Approximately 93 hours and 11 minutes were spent cooking Baci.
Chef Dammy recently acknowledged that her last 120-hour cook-a-thon was not properly registered with GWR in an interview.
Nigerians have paid close attention to the video of Chef Dammy being hailed as a hero and have expressed their thoughts in the comments section.
