Little controversy erupted today, May 29, when Abba Kabir Yusuf, the newly-elected governor of Kano state, declined to take the chair previously occupied by Abdullahi Ganduje.
Yusuf was shown declining to utilize the official seat intended for him as the state governor in a 30-second video that the Leadership newspaper released online.
However, as he gets ready to address the crowd, the governor, who was elected on the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), snatched another seat.
