Renowned businessman, Dr. Cosmos Maduka, has disclosed that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, holds the title of Nigeria’s biggest debtor, emphasizing the power of credit in wealth building.
In a recent conversation, Maduka explained that many of the world’s wealthiest individuals and nations owe their success to leveraging loans wisely. He noted that despite their debt, they are still regarded as prosperous due to solid financial structures.
“The top debtor in Nigeria is Aliko Dangote, yet he remains the richest man in Africa. Globally, the United States, the most indebted country, is also seen as the wealthiest. It’s all built on credit,” Maduka stated.
He encouraged people to utilize loans to grow but warned that one’s debt should not exceed 20% of their income. “You must have a solid structure to support any loan you take,” he added.
Online Reactions:
@ifegadimma: “Many business owners proudly brag about loans they’ve taken but struggle to repay. It’s not entrepreneurship, it’s chaos.”
@THE_CRAFT3R: “Taking a loan of just ₦1,000 in this economy? That says a lot about how bad things are.”
@_Ekezie: “Only true wealth builders like Maduka should be speaking at seminars. Others are just looters or fake motivators.”
