The death has been reported of erstwhile Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and ex minister of Information, Professor Dora Akunyili, has died according to family source.
She passed away, aged 59, Saturday in an India Hospital.
Naijalog recalls she was flown out of the country two weeks ago after she relapse.
Late Akunyili was named the head of NAFDAC… 12th April, 2001 where she launched a campaign against counterfeit drugs importers successfully.
She was later named Nigeria’s Information Minister and was a member of the ongoing National Conference.
