Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has finally spoken out following the heartbreaking loss of his close friend and mentor, actress Allwell Ademola.
Public Concern
Ademola passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, reportedly due to a heart attack. Following the tragic news, concerned fans and colleagues flooded Salami’s social media pages, worried about his mental state given his well-known close association with the late actress.
“All Is Not Well”
Breaking his silence in an emotional Instagram post, Salami admitted that he is struggling to cope. He issued a specific plea to the public, asking them to refrain from trying to console him in person, as he fears it would cause him to completely break down. He acknowledged the outpouring of love but admitted he is currently too weak to engage.
He wrote:
“Please, when you see me, don’t try to console me. Because I will break down. I still can’t say farewell, Shuga Boo. All is not well at the moment
72 hours of endless tears still can’t bring back my Shuga Boo. But for the sake of our family, friends, and fans who showed up in prayers, calls, posts, and most especially for my children, who will draw strength from me as we learn to move on without our Allwell Ademola. I promise to stand strong.
To everyone who has genuinely reached out to me with love & concern for my state of mind and well being through messages, calls, and voice notes, I see all. I’m just too weak to read, listen, respond, or even find the words to express how I really feel right now,”
