American rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in prison (equivalent to 4 years and 2 months) following a federal court ruling in Manhattan.

The verdict, delivered by Judge Arun Subramanian on Friday, October 3, 2025, comes amid the rapper’s long-running legal battles, including a highly publicized lawsuit filed in November 2023 by Cassie Ventura.

According to reports, Diddy was found guilty on two counts related to transportation to engage in prostitution, violating the Mann Act. While prosecutors initially pursued heavier charges such as racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, those counts were later dropped.

Although prosecutors pushed for 135 months (11 years) behind bars, the judge handed down a reduced 50-month term. His legal team had requested a 14-month sentence, citing time served since September 2024.

In addition to his prison sentence, Diddy was fined $500,000, the maximum financial penalty allowed.

Before sentencing, the rapper submitted a four-page letter to Judge Subramanian expressing deep remorse for his actions, particularly acknowledging assaults against Cassie Ventura and another alleged victim known as “Jane.”

The ruling follows recent family milestones earlier this year, Diddy’s twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, graduated from Sierra Canyon School in California, where their brother Justin Combs gifted them diamond necklaces and Van Cleef & Arpels bracelets.

This marks a significant chapter in Diddy’s ongoing legal saga, which has dominated headlines since late 2023.
