Few hours after President Goodluck Jonathan ended the emergency he declared in 15 local council areas in four States last December a security source has just informed us of shooting in Dunga, in Tafawa Balewa area of Bauchi State.
Last week, four persons were killed when unknown gunmen invaded Tafawa Balewa.
This attack is also believed to be the handiwork of the same set of unknown gunmen
Details are still sketchy, but gun shots were still being heard at the time of this report.
While revoking the state of emergency ,the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, said that local and state governments will now be responsible for the maintenance of security in those States: Plateau, Borno, Yobe, and Niger.
