Renowned American actor Denzel Washington has revealed that he has Nigerian roots.
In a recent interview with British-Nigerian media personality Ada Enechi, Washington shared the results of his heritage test, which showed he is 90% Irish and 10% Nigerian. “I am 10 percent Nigerian and 90 percent Irish,” he said.
In addition, the 69-year-old actor hinted that he may be nearing retirement. During a press tour for his upcoming film *Gladiator II* in Australia, Washington mentioned that *Black Panther 3* would likely be one of his final projects. He revealed that after completing *Black Panther 3*, *Othello 2*, and *King Lear*, he plans to retire.
