Nigerian singer Davido isn’t slowing down anytime soon, as he’s revealed a new series about his life on global streaming giant Netflix.
The 30BG leader is a prominent figure in the afrobeat scene, and in recent years has turned the world’s eyes and ears to West Africa, breaking through to the Billboard charts, headlining major global festivals, releasing his collection with PUMA, and securing a major global hit with Arab star AISHA with “Hayya Hayya (Better Together)”, one of the official songs of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Nigerian musician, who is presently on tour in support of his latest album ‘Timeless,’ has confirmed that his Netflix docu-series “David” would premiere in December 2023.
Davido stated in an interview with the Dubai-based media outlet Esquire Middle East:
I have a movie coming out in December with Netflix. It’s very, very big. This is the first time I’ve said anything about it, actually. It’s a documentary–a docu-series about my life, called ‘David’. I shouldn’t be talking about this, but yeah.”
