Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido stirred reactions online after dropping a brief but meaningful comment on a blog post that featured emotional family photos of Tonto Dikeh, her ex-husband Olakunle Churchill, and their son.
The photos were originally shared by Tonto as part of celebrations marking their son King Andre’s 10th birthday. The shoot drew attention because it showed the former couple together after years of public disputes and separation.
Their reunion had earlier made headlines when the actress revealed that their long-standing conflict had finally ended. The couple, who married in 2015, separated in 2017 following allegations and public disagreements, which later resulted in a custody dispute over their son.
After reconciling, both parties reportedly resumed following each other online, and Tonto changed their son’s surname back to Churchill. The businessman was also said to have reunited physically with his son after several years, with emotional photos circulating widely on social media.
On February 17, Tonto posted new birthday photos celebrating her son and shared heartfelt prayers for him. When a blog reposted the images, Davido reacted in the comment section.
“God is good 😍.”
The comment quickly caught public attention, especially because it came at a time when the singer was dealing with a sensitive custody dispute with Sophia Momodu over their daughter.
The custody matter reportedly began in 2024 after Davido filed a lawsuit alleging he was being denied access to his child and being financially pressured. Sophia reportedly denied the claims and opposed joint custody, citing several concerns.
Recent reports suggested tensions rose during court proceedings, but the singer later clarified he was only seeking joint custody, not full custody. He eventually announced he had decided to withdraw the case, saying he wanted his daughter to know he fought for her.
