Nigerian music star Davido has reportedly unfollowed actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram following leaked chats shared by social media critic VeryDarkMan, in which the actress allegedly accused him of clout-chasing over late singer Mohbad’s case.

According to the screenshots posted online, Iyabo Ojo criticized Davido for continuing to follow Naira Marley despite publicly claiming to support justice for Mohbad. In the alleged chat, she expressed her disappointment, saying:

“My problem is not even the black whatever, it is Davido who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley. That means he was chasing clout. I’m so disappointed with and to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad. Jess fake love 001.”

In what appears to be a response to the allegations, Davido unfollowed Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, though a check shows that the actress still follows him.

Mohbad’s tragic death in 2023 sparked nationwide protests demanding justice, with many celebrities, including Davido, Falz, and Zlatan, attending his candlelight procession. Iyabo Ojo, who led the ‘Justice for Mohbad’ campaign and reportedly created a WhatsApp group for the movement, had earlier admitted in an interview that she regretted advocating for the late singer’s exhumation.
