Afrobeats sensation Davido has shared that his passion for music runs so deep that he would still pursue it even without fame.
In an interview with Okay Africa, the multiple award-winning artist opened up about what fuels his creativity and dedication to his craft. Davido explained that beyond the luxury and global recognition, it is his genuine love for making music that keeps him inspired to create and connect with fans worldwide.
“I hope I still have the same passion, I’d probably try again…but it depends on my age,” he said.
Highlighting the priceless bond he shares with his supporters, Davido added: “One flex I have is that money didn’t buy is natural love from my fans. You can’t buy that type of love. I’ve had fans come from far away, and concerts range from new fans to the old fans; my catalogue is huge.”
Reflecting on his journey, Davido said he would advise his younger self to remain resilient despite challenges: “It’s going to be a long journey, many ups and downs, smiles and frowns, but you’d get there.”
He also admitted that when he first started out, his goals were nowhere near the massive success he enjoys today, adding: “That’s how God works.”
