Famous singer Davido recently opened up about the emotional experience of seeing his twin son bear an uncanny resemblance to his late son, Ifeanyi, during a conversation with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1. He referred to the resemblance as “scary,” as he reflected on the heartbreaking loss of Ifeanyi in 2022.
The singer recalled that painful chapter of his life, describing it as one of the hardest times he’s ever faced.
“That type of loss made you just be like, ‘I’m out’. I’m just going to chill, take care of my wife and take care of the family and get my head right”
Following the tragic drowning incident in November 2022, both Davido and Chioma stepped away from the public eye, eventually getting married in a private ceremony. Nearly a year later, in October 2023, they were blessed with twins.
“And the boy looks just like my son that passed. It is scary. It’s like literally him. We’re like, ‘No, it’s him. He came back,’” Davido said.
The Stand Strong singer expressed gratitude and amazement at the way life unfolded.
“To come back from that and be blessed with twins out the gate… it just shows God is real.”
He also shared how the experience has deeply impacted him, making him more empathetic, grounded, and passionate about spreading kindness and positive energy both through his music and personal interactions.
