Renowned Nigerian singer Davido has shared his thoughts on the immense love and support he receives from fans, recalling how the music industry seemed to pause during his time away.
In a recent interview, Davido reflected on a moment when he fully grasped his impact and popularity, stating that during his absence from social media and the music scene, everything felt unusually quiet.
“When I was not active online, the whole industry shut down,” he said.
The singer explained that he had no new album or projects at the time, yet people from all corners of the industry were urging him to return.
“I realized how much people truly loved me. It was so quiet out there. Even those who usually criticize me were asking me to come back, just so they could keep throwing jabs,” Davido added.
