Superstar Afrobeat musician Davido Adeleke criticizes NFF President Amaju Pinnick while recounting how the latter stole the allowance of Nigerian footballers.
This comes after the singer was accused of collecting a significant sum of $94,600 but failing to show up for a concert, according to the head of the Nigerian Football Federation.
Davido had already said on his X platform page that he would hold back from expressing his opinion on the matter.
Hours later, though, he withdrew to his Instagram account and berated Amaju Pinnick for embezzling money that Fifa had given him. The ‘Assurance’ singer continued by stressing that Amaju wouldn’t get the show’s refund; rather, it would be donated to charity.
In a series of Instagram story posts, Davido wrote;
“The man that dropped from the RR is Amaju Pinnick. he was NFF president for just 8 years. He was charged for allegedly misappropriating $8.4m paid by FIFA to NFF. I wont mention allegations of unpaid allowances by players when he was the president. Let’s play a game.”
He continued in another post, “I wanna donate money to @thenffofficial I been suffering for too long it’s no fair … let’s do something @puma. Warri Pple hate you ! And know ! Amaju come outside let’s talk!”
“If I’m returning any money I’ll return it to any football charity organization.. INFACT I will DOUBLE IT MR DREAM CRUSHER … imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because person one live for ikoyi by force,” he concluded.
