Nigerian musician Davido expressed disbelief on social media that his friend Cubana Chief Priest could be imprisoned for six months for alleged naira abuse, following a post made by the latter on Instagram. Cubana Chief Priest had posted on his page, thanking fans for their support and confirming that he had paid 10 million naira for the offense. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested and arraigned Cubana Chief Priest in court, but he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail. Another online personality Bobrisky was also arrested and sentenced to six months in prison for the same offense. In response, Davido rushed to the comment section of his friend’s post, citing Bobrisky’s case and declaring that he would not be able to go six months without seeing Cubana Chief Priest.
