Afrobeats sensation Davido recently caused a stir during a live performance after spotting a fan holding a newborn baby in the middle of a densely packed crowd—a moment that has since gone viral on social media.
The incident took place during his performance of Ogechi at a concert in Umuahia, Abia State.
In the trending clip, Davido abruptly paused his set when he noticed a distressed fan trying to catch their breath while cradling a baby amidst the chaotic audience. Visibly upset, the singer lashed out, questioning the fan’s decision and expressing serious concern for the child’s safety.
“Why you carry baby come? Are you crazy? Carry your baby comot! You are a wicked person!” Davido yelled from the stage, eliciting a range of reactions from those in attendance.
While many praised him for prioritizing the baby’s well-being, others criticized his tone.
