Daniel Regha, a well-known Twitter personality, has expressed his disbelief in Rema’s claim of being on the same level as the “Big 3” in Afrobeat music. This claim by Rema had sparked a debate on social media regarding the greatest Nigerian musicians, namely Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
In response to Rema’s claim, Daniel Regha referred to him as an “upcomer” in the music industry who currently has only one successful song. Despite being a worldwide celebrity, he still has a long way to go before being considered the best.
According to this famous critic, no rookie has performed well enough to be listed among the top 10. Despite their achievements, it will take them years to reach the same level of success as the icons in the industry.
He wrote: “Rema is still an upcomer in the music game with just ¤ne hit song at the moment; He’s a global sensation, but that doesn’t put him in the top category. For the record, no newbie or upcomer has done enough to be in the “Top 10″ debate, despite their accomplishments it will take years for ’em to lace the icons’ boot. No shades.”
