Daniel Regha, a well-known and often controversial media personality, has sparked reactions by criticizing Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, following his N1 billion donation to a church. The donation, which was announced after Adeleke visited the church on Sunday, quickly became a trending topic online.
In his response, Regha expressed that while attending church is commendable, donating such a large sum in a country plagued by hunger and widespread poverty is misguided. He argued that the funds would be better spent on initiatives that create job opportunities and help alleviate the economic struggles faced by many.
His words: “Giving to the church is fine, but donating over a billion to any church, in a country where millions are starving & struggling to survive doesn’t seem right. Davido’s dad should’ve used about 80% of that money to create employment opportunities.”
