The Nigeria First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan is being treated at the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany, a senior consultant at the hospital has confirmed.
According to the Leadership, one of its reporters had an eight-minute telephone chat with the spokesperson of the hospital through a telephone number +49611433436.
The hospital official said Mrs. Jonathan was brought to the hospital early last week after the management of the hospital had been contacted and briefed on the deteriorating health condition of the first lady.
She said that Mrs. Jonathan was getting better but added that the hospital management would ensure that she was fully fit before she would be allowed to go back to Nigeria.
The hospital, however failed and categorical stated that it was unethical to disclose the nature of her sickness
Meanwhile, the Premium Times is reporting that Mrs Jonathan is being treated for ruptured appendicitis rather than food poisoning.
Quoting a source in the presidency,the online news service noted that Mrs Jonathan case got worse because she was being treated for food poisoning instead of ruptured appendicitis.
Although, the Villa has kept mum, inside sources said that President Goodluck Jonathan is very angry about the leakage of information concerning the sickness of his wife, Patience.
