Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital has dismissed claims that a viral video showing a woman screaming during a cosmetic procedure was recorded at its facility.
The hospital has recently faced heavy public attention following the reported death of Jessica Elena, who allegedly died after experiencing complications linked to a cosmetic procedure.
Hospital responds to viral video
In a statement posted on its Instagram page @cynosureaestheticsng, the hospital addressed the disturbing clip currently circulating across social media platforms. Management stated that although they were aware of the widely shared video, the footage did not originate from their clinic.
According to the hospital, while they had earlier acknowledged performing reconstructive surgery on Elena, they could not identify the facility where the procedure shown in the viral clip actually took place.
The management also expressed concern that the continued sharing of the video could worsen the emotional pain already being experienced by the deceased’s family. They therefore urged the public to approach the matter with empathy and sensitivity.
Hospital sends condolences to family
The hospital further offered condolences to Elena’s family and said it remains open to cooperating with any official investigation aimed at uncovering the truth surrounding the incident and clearing the hospital’s name.
It read …
“Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital is aware of a video circulating on social media showing a patient screaming during a surgical procedure, which is being falsely attributed to our facility. We state clearly: this video was not recorded at our clinic and we do not know the location of the facility where it occured.
The circulation of this content adds additional distress to the grieving family, and we appeal to the public to handle it with compassion and sensitivity. We extend our deepest condolences to the patient’s family during this difficult time. Setting the record straight.”
The statement was shared alongside the hospital’s post addressing the situation.
