Popular nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chiefpriest has openly stated that he does not participate in any movement that offers no personal or collective benefit.
The businessman disclosed that a private discussion with Seyi Tinubu, son of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was the key factor that influenced his decision. He explained that his support is also a calculated step to make sure the Southeast region, particularly the Igbo community, is not excluded from opportunities.
The socialite, who recently joined other wealthy Southeast figures such as Obi Cubana in publicly backing the president, spoke further during a rally held in Imo State.
While speaking to supporters, he stressed that the City Boy Movement goes beyond politics or loyalty to individuals, contrary to public perception. According to him, the initiative is centered on empowerment and creating opportunities, especially for people from the Southeast.
He told the crowd that he does not align with any group that does not provide value or meaningful benefits.
“The city boy movement is all about empowerment. You know I don’t go where I won’t benefit. I stand so firm with my friend Seyi Tinubu, and they have assured me that South East will be taken care of,” he said.
His remarks suggested that assurances from Seyi Tinubu about protecting the interests of the South-East were a major reason behind his public endorsement.
Known for being outspoken and maintaining close relationships with influential personalities, Chiefpriest emphasized that his support is largely driven by expected advantages for his people.
His comments have since sparked discussions online, especially as political positioning ahead of the 2027 elections continues to shape national conversations.
