WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has stated that while he knows that life is changing for alot of people around the world due to the global lockdown caused by the coronavorus pandemic.

He said during this difficult time it is important for everyone to stay healthy mentally and  physically and also prevent themself from getting infected

He listed a couple of steps to take:

  1. Eat Healthy and Nutritious Diet (This helps your immune system function properly)
  2. Limit Your Alchol Consumption and Avoid Sugary Drinks
  3. Don’t Smoke
  1. Exercise (WHO recommends 30 mins physical activity daily for adults and 1 hour for children). If you are allowed to go out, ensure you keep a safe distance. However if you can’t go out, exercise at home
  2. Keep a Healthy Mind (It’s normal to feel stressed, confused and scared during the crisis). Talking to people you know and trust can help
