Real Madrid have announced that their manager, Zinedine Zidane, has tested positive after undergoing, like the rest of the squad, the relevant tests, ahead of their match against Alavés at Mendizorroza on Saturday.
Madrid haven’t given more information about it in their official statement. Zidane was scheduled to speak to the media on Friday, in the pre-match press conference for the Alavés match on Saturday.
“Real Madrid C.F. informs that our coach Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for COVID-19”, the statement read.
He will thus have to quarantine at his home and will miss Madrid’s matches away to Alavés and at home to Levante.
