The governorship primary election that produced Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 election, was on Tuesday September 20, nullified by a Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo, and presided over by Justice Simon Amobeda.
The judgement was given in a case filed by one of the ruling party’s governorship aspirants, Chief David Kente.
Justice Amobeda asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to stop recognising Bwacha as a candidate immediately and conduct a fresh governorship primary in the state within 14 days.
Bwacha was also directed by the court to stop parading himself as the governorship candidate of the APC in Taraba state.
