Popular online personality, VeryDarkMan, is facing criticism on social media after alleging that ₦180 million was stolen from his NGO’s website, leaving only ₦20 million intact.
In a video currently making rounds on X (formerly Twitter), he said, “For the past few days, I haven’t been myself. Someone hacked into the NGO website, and I don’t know how they managed it, but ₦180 million is gone.”
The statement has sparked outrage, with some questioning the plausibility of his claims, asking, “Are we children?”
This controversy comes just weeks after he launched an NGO dedicated to improving Nigeria’s education sector. He had previously shared his bank account details, encouraging Nigerians, including notable celebrities, to donate generously, which led to raising ₦200 million.
Barely a month later, VeryDarkMan disclosed that most of the funds—₦180 million—had been stolen in a website hack. His revelation has drawn widespread skepticism, with many accusing him of fabricating the story and jeopardizing his credibility.
