Alhaji Mahe Abdulquadri, the Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has passed away.
He died on Saturday at his residence in the Adewole area of Ilorin.
At 75 years old, Mahe was regarded as a strong contender for the Emirship throne in Ilorin and had held various significant roles at both the federal and state levels.
He previously worked as a senior staff member at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in Ilorin before transitioning to the state civil service. There, he served as a permanent secretary and clerk of the Kwara State House of Assembly until his retirement.
The late Mahe had recently attended the 2024 Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) meeting, held from December 24 to 25.
As of the time of this report, burial arrangements were underway.
