Chidinma Adetshina, a 23-year-old who recently withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant amid a social media controversy regarding her nationality, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
Representing Taraba State, Chidinma outshined four other finalists, including Miss Rivers State, Miss Anambra State, Miss Ondo State, and Miss Edo State, to secure the title. She will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November, while the first runner-up, Miss Anambra, will compete in the Miss Supranational pageant.
By winning the crown, Chidinma earned the grand prize of N10 million. In her acceptance speech, the new beauty queen described the title as a call to action.
