Chelsea is close to finalizing a deal to bring Joao Felix back to Stamford Bridge, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The negotiations with Atlético Madrid have advanced to the final stages, with only minor details left to be sorted.
On Monday, Romano shared on X that a verbal agreement between both clubs is already in place, with the final structure of the deal being worked out. Additionally, Chelsea has reached a full agreement on personal terms with Joao Felix, who is keen on returning to the Premier League.
Romano stated, “Chelsea are closing in on the Joao Felix deal! Talks are in the final stages and should be sealed soon. Verbal agreement with Atlético is almost done, with final details being completed. Total agreement with Joao on personal terms as he’s eager to return to #CFC. Almost there.”
In an earlier update, Romano mentioned, “Chelsea and Atlético are getting closer to reaching a final agreement for Joao Felix and Conor Gallagher! Positive discussions took place today, and Joao has agreed to contract terms. The reported €60m fixed fee for Felix isn’t accurate. All parties are working to finalize the deal this weekend.”
