Antonio Conte has confirmed he will be the coach of Chelsea FC next season.
The 46-year-old Italian in a tweet confirmed he had signed a three years deal with the reigning English Premiership Champion.
Chelsea sacked Jose Mourinho their former coach after a dismal performance which saw the London club managing to stay above relegation during the first half of the season.
Guus Hiddiniks was then appointed on a temporary basis, and the fortunes of Chelsea have improved in the second half of the season.
“I am very excited about the prospect of working at Chelsea Football Club,” Conte told the club’s website.
“I am proud to be the coach of the national team of my country and only a role as attractive as manager of Chelsea could follow that.
“I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the club and the day-to-day challenge of competing in the Premier League.”
Conte is the chief coach of Italy and will leading Italy at the 2016 European Championship finals in June and July.
