Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has insisted that Chelsea are not Arsenal’s main threat in the Premier League title race.
Sherwood believes Manchester City’s proven experience gives them a stronger chance of chasing down the Gunners as the season progresses.
Chelsea have an opportunity to trim Arsenal’s advantage at the top to just three points when both sides face off on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Manchester City tightened the gap on Saturday, moving within four points of Arsenal after securing a 3–2 victory over Leeds United.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Sherwood said:
“I think the nearest challengers will come from the team with the experience of being able to win the league and that’s Man City,” adding,
“They will be the nearest challengers.”
