As preparation towards Christmas reaches a fever pitch, especially this weekend, artistes are not also left out with various gigs and concerts across the country. ADUNOLA OLADAPO and TUNDE AYANDA spoke with some celebrities on how they plan to celebrate Christmas.

Julius Agwu
For the past three years, I have been celebrating Christmas with the people. My Crack Ya Ribs show always falls on Christmas day and I see it as a Christmas gift for my fans and friends.
So, I will celebrate this Christmas with my fans in Port Harcourt where we are having the Crack Ya Ribs, so I’m expecting that they come and catch all the fun attached to the festive time.

This Christmas is a busy time. As much as I would have loved to spend time with my family I must be in Ghana where I have a show.

Ebenezer Obey
I will first go to church with my family members to praise the Lord. Thereafter, we will go back home and celebrate, play, eat and drink. It is our Lord’s birthday and we always celebrate it with friends and well wishers.

Funke Kuti
I plan to celebrate a quiet Christmas. I can be indoors or decide to visit some friends and my families.

Dare Art-Alade
I just finished a show in Calabar, but I hope to celebrate Christmas with my family.

I will visit the orphanages, like I always do, and celebrate with the orphans. It has been my usual practice and it won’t change this year.

Chika Ike (Actress)
I’ll be off for vacation in Dubai and America and have a splendid time with my loved ones.

King Sunny Ade
Christmas is a time that calls for sober reflection. I will observe the day quietly and entertain guests at home

Fiberesima Ibinabo- (Actress and president of AGN)
For me, I will have a beautiful Christmas only when our own dear sister, Nkiru Sylvanus, that has been kidnapped is released unharmed. Until I confirm that she has been released safe and sound and reunited with her family, that is when I can celebrate Christmas, but for now, I am just on the edge. I also want to appeal to our government and security agencies to be on red alert this Yuletide and guarantee the safety of lives and property this season.

Kate Henshaw
It has been a fulfilling year. I have worked hard and sure need some rest. I will be spending the Yuletide in the United States with friends, family and loved ones.

Rykardo Agbor
I will be in Lagos and spend the season with my family. I assure them of fun and bliss. However, I want to make the interesting places I’m taking them to as a surprise. So, I can’t disclose that to you. We will all eat out that day because I want my wife to rest and I just want to give them a nice treat.

Toyin Adegbola
I will be engaged in charity work in  a children’s home in Osogbo, because I came  from there. I will also do the same in Oluyole Chesire Home as well as give gifts to the widows because I’ve been a widow myself since 13 years ago. I will be in Ibadan except I have to go on location for shooting. Also, my first son will be coming to the country for the Yuletide and we will receive a lot of visitors. It will be fun and blissful for me and my family.

LKT
I’m going to celebrate this Xmas working. I have a lot of shows to do, starting from now till end of the year. Shortly after the Christmas, I will be going to South Africa. Later, I will hit Ghana too for another show before I come back home to rest.

Baba De- Baba (Comedian)
I would have loved to spend my Christmas abroad. It’s funny I won’t be travelling out again, because I am engaged in Nigeria on Christmas eve and I can’t leave the event. My Christmas may not be interesting because I will be coming back from Lagos on Christmas day and I will be sleeping all through.

SYM19 (Artiste)
I’ve got a couple of shows, I would be having fun with my friends and family too after the show, visit fun centres and just merry.

Uju Okeke
I don’t intend going anywhere. I lost my father-in-law, so I may be traveling after the burial. But for now, I’m here with my family. I may be spending it with my hubby; maybe visit one or two places.

Shirley Aghotse (Beauty Queen)
Jesus is the reason for the season, so I would be in church to celebrate our merciful saviour for His limitless love, attend a friend’s birthday party, then spend time with my family, not forgetting the disadvantaged kids. I’m currently passionate about ‘Save the Children Charity Organisation.’
