American rapper Cardi B has made it clear that the TikTok ban in the United States will have little impact on her career.
According to DAILY POST, TikTok ceased operations in the U.S. on January 19, 2025, after its Chinese owners failed to comply with a law introduced by President Joe Biden in April 2024, requiring them to sell the platform.
Amid the ban, a social media user on X with the handle @1lex mocked female rappers like Cardi B, suggesting they would need to find alternative jobs without TikTok to promote their music.
The user wrote, “Now, all the female TikTok rappers gotta find real jobs. You first, @imcardib.”
Cardi B, however, was quick to shut down the remark. She replied, “Babe, I’ve got a $7 million offer to launch my own vitamins. I could retire you from your burger-flipping job by tomorrow. Thank me though; I’ve been helping you earn your $8.99 Twitter check.”
