Controversial American rapper Cardi B has insisted that she is not a lover of drama, but it often trails her because of her personality.
The rapper, who recently stirred headlines after revealing she is expecting a child with her boyfriend, NFL player Stefon Diggs, despite her ongoing divorce from husband and fellow rapper Offset, said she believes the media often targets her.
Cardi B, however, acknowledged that her outspoken character and strong aura contribute to the controversies surrounding her.
She told CBS: “I didn’t think I was that much drama. When I was in high school and I was voted most dramatic in my high school yearbook, I was surprised. I don’t like drama, it just follows me. Sometimes, certain things just followed certain people. When you have like a big personality like me or when you have a mouth like me or whatever aura that I give, it [drama] will follow you because it makes you like an easier target. I don’t like drama. It stresses me.”
