Cardi B, a well-known American rapper, laments the monotony of millionaire life and longs for the ease of her earlier years and life in general.
She responded to a fan who questioned why she continued to represent herself as being from a rough neighborhood in her music videos on Twitter by expressing this sentiment.
After Latto included her in the song’s remix for the music video “Put It On Da Floor Again,” a Twitter user going by the handle @Kinggoodtoe made the observation.
“Okay last thing when is cardi going to transition to full millionaire like why are you posing with guns and things in the put it on the floor again remix video who escapes the hood just to relive it every chance they get,” the fan questioned.
In response, Cardi B frankly stated that despite her achievements, she still longs for her former way of life.
She made a point of stating that obtaining all desired material items eventually gets boring and fails to provide long-lasting happiness.
The hip-hop artist said that she had lately cried as she thought back on her previous existence, but she promised not to whine. She acknowledged that her current situation is essential to her personal development and also took into account the welfare of her children
In her words,
“You wanna know wats so crazy? I was tearing the other day Cause I miss my old life …Sometimes having everything GETS BORING…But I won’t complain it’s not about me anymore. This is part of growing up and bout my kids ..but yea PUT IT ON THE FLOOR !!!”
The claim, however, garnered over 4M impressions from users who agreed with her school of thought while others insisted on reaching that pedestal first.
