The third round of the Capital One Cup for 2014/15 was completed on Wednesday night with four more Premier League clubs progressing to the final 16.
Reigning league cup champions Manchester City produced a stunning second-half performance to hammer Sheffield Wednesday 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Jose Mourinho handed a full debut to young French defender Kurt Zouma and it proved a masterstroke as the teenager fired home a Loic Remy header after a corner to give the Blues the lead in the 25th minute.
Bolton responded six minutes later when Matt Mills headed home Liam Feeney’s set piece but Chelsea ended up in front at the final whistle thanks to Oscar’s match-winning effort.
Elsewhere, Brighton & Hove Albion were too good for Burton Albion with a 3-0 away win while Tottenham came from behind with three goals in 20 minutes to overcome Nottingham Forest 3-1 at home.
West Bromwich Albion needed two very late goals from Gareth McAuleyand Saido Berahino to edge top flight rivals Hull City 3-2 at The Hawthorns and ten-man Newcastle United required extra-time to beatCrystal Palace 3-2 after summer signing Emmanuel Riviere netted a double and Paul Dummett headed home the winner during the additional 30 minutes.
