Popular Nollywood director, Charles Novia, has described singer, 2face as a two faced person for allowing himself to be stared down by some individuals after getting a lot of Nigerians’ commitment to protest with him.
The singer shocked many Nigerians when he announced that the highly anticipated march of the people in demand for good governance from the government had been cancelled because of ‘security reasons’.
The singer, who had enjoyed widespread goodwill over his decision to spearhead the protests is now enduring as much criticism on social media as disappointed Nigerians suspect intimidation from high places for his backing down.
According to Charles, “It’s a disappointment really that 2face was stared down over this Feb 6th demonstration. He’s done more harm to his brand than good.
When you find yourself trussed as a rallying point for a silent or voiceless people, you don’t back down after publicly accepting.
“In any case, thank you 2Face for the brief bob of the head above now convenient waters. The rest of Nigeria will swim with the sharks,”
Meanwhile, 2face’s partners in the protest, EiE, insist that the march would go on as scheduled.
