The Kaduna state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has demanded that banks holding new naira notes be investigated.
According to The Punch, the association praised President Muhammadu Buhari for insisting that the 2023 elections be free and free of vote-buying.
The Christian group, led by Reverend John Hayab, issued a statement in Kaduna on Sunday, February 5th, praising Buhari for the ten (10) day extension granted for the exchange of old naira notes.
As the scarcity of the new currency persists, CAN has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to do everything in its power to ensure that the new notes circulate, alleviating the stress that the Nigerian masses are experiencing in accessing the new notes.
