Public pressure is mounting for billionaire politician and senator, Ned Nwoko, to resign from his post amid his ongoing marital controversy with actress Regina Daniels.
The couple’s dispute has drawn intense attention after Regina Daniels accused Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest of her brother, Sammy, who was detained in Lagos on November 6, 2025, and later transferred to Abuja, where he remains in custody.
In a new development, actress Realgina Onu took to Instagram to urge Ned Nwoko to step down from his senatorial position, calling for an independent investigation into allegations of sexual coercion, unlawful detention, and drug abuse.
She also appealed to the Nigerian Police Force, Ministry of Justice, and human rights organizations to step in and ensure transparency and accountability.
Meanwhile, a resurfaced video of Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, has gone viral, countering claims that her daughter married Nwoko at 17. In the clip, she clarified that Regina was almost 20 years old at the time of their marriage in April 2020 in Delta State.
Adding to the controversy, Regina’s brother Sweezzy recently alleged that Nwoko’s son died in the United Kingdom from heart failure and seizures allegedly linked to excessive drug use.
The situation continues to unfold, with public interest intensifying around the family’s deepening crisis.
