Burna Boy has officially surpassed Wizkid to become the Nigerian artist with the most albums on the US Billboard 200 chart.
Previously tied at four entries each, Burna Boy pulled ahead with the debut of his latest project, “No Sign Of Weakness,” which landed at No. 200 on the chart this week — marking his fifth appearance.
Despite entering at the very bottom of the list, “No Sign Of Weakness” managed to chart with 8,800 units sold in the United States. This marks the lowest debut ever for a Nigerian album on the Billboard 200.
A major factor in the album’s modest performance is Billboard’s updated chart policy, which now counts only U.S.-based sales and streams. Previously, international streams — especially from countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK — helped Afrobeats artists achieve higher chart positions.
