Nigerian global superstar and Grammy winner Burna Boy has reached out to provide support to the families of four children who were tragically killed during a mass shooting at a birthday celebration in Stockton, California.

Reports reveal that the “Last Last” crooner felt strongly moved by the heartbreaking incident after hearing it discussed on The Breakfast Club radio show.

Deeply affected by the story, Burna Boy contacted music executive Wack 100 and media personality Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked, offering immediate help to the families dealing with unimaginable loss.

In his statement, he expressed:

“When I heard about the children murdered in Stockton, my heart broke. No family should ever face this kind of pain alone. I wanted to do whatever I could to support these parents as they begin the long process of healing.”

The musician was especially touched by the story of 14-year-old Amari Peterson, a high-achieving student-athlete with a 3.8 GPA whose life was cut short far too soon.

Stockton’s Vice Mayor, Jason Lee, commended Burna Boy for his kindness, calling it “an example of how people around the world want to help, even when they’ve never met the families impacted.”

The mass shooting took place on Saturday, November 29, inside a busy banquet hall where between 100 and 150 guests were gathered for a children’s birthday party.

Four young individuals died from the attack, while 11 others were injured. Confirmed victims include eight-year-old Maya Lupian and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta.

Authorities believe the shooting may have been deliberate, and a $25,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Burna Boy’s charitable act comes at a time when he is also dealing with controversy surrounding his canceled Colorado concert and a string of postponed shows reportedly linked to low ticket turnout.
