Burna Boy, the Nigerian Afrobeats sensation and Grammy Award winner, has launched his Cannabis brand BrkFst following the success of his hit single “Last Last.”

According to Black Cannabis Magazine, Burna Boy’s cannabis brand BrkFst is a collaboration with Jokes Up/ Ice Kream and was recently launched in South Beach, Miami.

The launch comes just over a year after the singer called Nigeria’s cannabis ban “dumb.”

The brand launch, which coincided with Miami Carnival, began with a Pop Up from 12 to 3 p.m., followed by brunch at a Miami Diner from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Burna Boy was also represented by a team at the all-white-themed Tipsy Musical Festival at Bayfront Park, which he headlined.

The brand is thought to be inspired by Burna Boy’s hit single “Last Last,” in which he sings… “I need Igbo and shayo (Shayo).”

Burna Boy talked about heartbreak, moving on, and healing from “emotional wounds” with weed (Igbo) and alcohol in those lines (shayo).

The song’s video has 94 million views on YouTube and is the first single from his latest album, “Love, Damini,” which was released on July 8th, 2022, through Atlantic Records. Chopstix produced the afrobeats track, which samples Toni Braxton’s classic 2000 single “He Wasn’t Man Enough.”
