Grammy-winning Nigerian music star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about his hesitation to begin a family due to his demanding tour lifestyle.
In a recent chat with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, the 34-year-old Afrobeats icon shared that although he looks forward to having a family someday, his current life on the road doesn’t offer the right environment for that chapter.
“Yeah, but I don’t want to start that on the road. I’m not planning of quitting tours anytime soon, so I don’t know where to now put that [starting a family]; find a middle ground,” he said when asked about settling down.
Burna Boy revealed that his constant touring has left him with no time for rest — not even for a holiday.
“I haven’t gone on a holiday since the beginning of my music career,” he added, pointing out that not having kids has partly made this nonstop lifestyle possible.
Famous for his high-energy shows and sold-out performances worldwide, Burna Boy continues to prioritize his career over personal life, saying it’s challenging to strike a balance between both.
