Barring last minutes changes, The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to reveal the composing of its Board of Trustee (BOT) at its maiden National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting today in Abuja.
Reliable sources within the All Progressives Congress (APC) told Naijalog that the party’s may zoned the BOT chairman slot to the South-East.
A deft move to ensure that the party becomes more popular in that region, where it still to gain needed recognition.
Ahead of the meeting, though not yet official, Naijalog gathered Wednesday that membership of the board would include former Head of State, Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari; former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; former Lagos State Governor, Senator Bola Tinubu and a former Abia State Governor, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.
Others on the 74-member board include the party’s former interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande; former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipreye Sylva; former Minister of Communication, Chief Audu Ogbeh; former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi; former Speaker, House of Representatives, Aminu Bello Masari; Senate Minority Leader, Senator George Akume; his counterpart in the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Alhaji Baba Magaji; Alhaji Kawu Baraje; Prince Tony Momoh; Yusuf Garba Ali, serving governors and past governors of the party.
The BoT is advisory and it is expected to intervene in helping the party take decisions on critical issues.
