President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020 at 8pm.
Statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said television, radio and other electronic media stations were enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.
The president’s briefing will centre around whether to extend the lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun.
Buhari had two weeks ago extended the lockdown in the three places.
A month ago, the president announced total lockdown of Lagos, Abuja and Ogun in a bid to checkmate the spread of the virus.
Currently, Coronavirs has been on the increase in Nigeria, with infections surpassing 1,000, and Lagos and Abuja the worst hit.
If what is on ground is anything to go by, Buhari may likely announce another two weeks extension today.
