Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye says his teammate at the Ukrainian club Lukman Haruna deserves a recall to the Super Eagles, MTNFootball.com reports.

Haruna, who now averages a-goal-a-game for Dynamo Kiev, has been on top form this season.

And Ideye said he believes the inclusion of the midfielder will provide competition for coach Stephen Keshi in the Eagles’ midfield.

“I think with the form of Lukman right now, he deserves a look-in for the Eagles,” Ideye said.

“Haruna scored in our last game even after coming on from the bench. I know if he gets the opportunity, he would make a big impact”

“But it’s the coach who has the final decision with regards who makes the team.”

Haruna last featured for Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has said the Eagles cannot afford to let down their guard for the return leg match against Ethiopia next month, despite their 2-1 win away in Addis Ababa.

“A lot of work still needs to be done ahead of the second leg. We need to Correct the mistakes from the game and approach the second leg like it where the first,” Onazi said.

He also explained that the Eagles were a lot cautious in the first half so as not to burn out because of the high altitude in Ethiopia.
