Former Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, expressed his excitement after making his debut for Enyimba, according to NAIJALOG.
Ideye came on as a substitute in Enyimba’s 0-0 draw against Bendel Insurance on Tuesday, replacing Ifeanyi Ihemekwele in the 79th minute.
“I feel good. I was hoping to come on earlier, but the coach has his reasons. But I’m happy with how I’m feeling,” the 36-year-old said during a post-match interview.
Despite the draw, Enyimba extended their winless run to 10 games.
Ideye shared his thoughts on the team’s need to improve: “We have a lot to learn. The league is still young, and this is just the first round. We have the second round to look forward to. We need to work as a team, address the mistakes hindering our victories, and be more clinical in front of goal. We will keep pushing for positive results in every match.”
