A report just reaching us says that an explosion has been recorded near the Emir’s palace in Kano.
The explosion occurred around 8:00 p.m. close to the central mosque where the Emir prays on Fridays.
Eye witnesses say that the bombers ferried the explosive device in a keke NAPEP tricycle, casualty rate is still unknown as the police are still awakening to the incident.

The Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, was a target of an assassination attempt in mid January.
