A bomb has gone off within the premises of a hotel in Sabo Gari, Kano.
The explosion occurred 9:30pm this evening.
Details remain sketchy, however, the Kano State Police Command have confirmed the incident, but declined to provide details.
“We heard a loud bang around the Sabongari area but we can only confirm details later,” spokesperson of the command, Musa Majiya said.
“We have since deployed our operatives and bomb disposal experts to the scene.”
Independent sources say 10 persons have been confirmed dead and many more expected because of the magnitude of the blast.
