A suicide bomber on a tricycle narrowly missed a JTF patrol car in Maiduguri early today.
The bomber then rammed into a Mercedes Benz car causing the death of two people including the suicide bomber and another person.
It is unclear if the dead civilian was in the car.
Three others were injured including a soldier who suffered serious injuries.
The attack took place around 10 AM Nigerian occurred in the Custom area of Maiduguri metropolis according to the JTF spokesperson, Lt. Col Musa Sagir.
The dead and the injured have been taken to the University of Maiduguri hospital and the JTF has cordoned off the area to engage in a thorough sweep on the neighborhood.
